An iPhone 5 Review for the Fans and the Curious

11/18/2011

If you are one of the millions of Apple fanatics and tech geeks who are curiously waiting for the release of Apple's most anticipated baby, then this iPhone 5 review might serve as an appetizer to iPhone's 5th generation launching. Different blogs and articles on iPhone 5 review have spread all over the Internet-each proving how prominent this phone is despite the birth of its contemporaries and each giving you a hint that the next generation of iPhone will make another milestone in this modern world. But you may probably ask if this 5th generation of iPhone is still practical to chase after. Well, in this iPhone 5 review, you may just find out that the new generation of iPhone can bear plenty of reasons why it is great to spend on a high end phone.

Capacity

One reliable fact about the iPhone 5 is that it is certain to have a larger storage capacity. With the introduction of A5 processor, Apple will have to upgrade their phone one notch up enough to go with the processor. IPhone 5 is believed to have a dual core processor that will speed up its loading and ease multitasking. It will also use a 4G network that is great for video chatting.

Imaging

While you can observe that capacity details are consistent on every iPhone 5 review; imaging, however, is another story. You can still find some variations on issues about the built in camera which was said to range from 8 up to 12 megapixels. Though, it is certain that to match a higher resolution, iPhone 5 will be out with a graphic chip that can provide better image and video quality, allowing tech geeks to view films in full HD.

Style

The look, of course, is something people can't wait to see. Some suggest that it may come in a thinner and lighter form and it is also expected to come with a larger screen to offer the best of experiencing full HD videos. Speaking of videos, iPhone 5 will also provide a crisper sound quality, in favor to the music lovers.

Durability

On top of these specs, what makes most fanatics more interested in iPhone 5 are the speculations that you can get from every iPhone 5 review--it is designed to last longer. Aside from having a stronger signal, it will also come in a tougher screen-scratch free, shatter proof and drop resistant. The features are also designed along with a longer battery life. Plus, it will also have a facial recognition feature to keep your phone files private and it also has a built in GPS that need not to be installed.

From summarizing every iPhone 5 review, you will surely be able to get the gist of having a 5th generation iPhone-having a worth spending quality phone. As this iPhone 5 review suggested earlier, the new iPhone will be worth chasing as this is designed for techies who are after a durable, stylish, high end phone that is, still, practical to have.

iPad Accessories Review: 3 Must Have iPad Accessories

10/04/2011

The iPad from Apple is a gadget that combines entertainment and functionality. The problem is, many people today own this gadget. If you want to make yours stand out from the crowd, you can personalize it with accessories. Below are the three best iPad accessories you can easily find on the market:

1. iPad Smart Cover

Tablet sleeves tend to be bulky. If you want to give your iPad extra protection and still want to maintain its slim and sleek look, you should consider getting the Smart Cover. This sturdy cover protects the screen of your iPad without covering up its signature aluminum back. This accessory is named the Smart Cover not without reason. It can be folded in all the right places, making it possible to act as an iPad stand as well. When folded, it can hold the gadget upright, allowing for better game playing, movie viewing, web browsing, text typing, and other activities. The Smart Cover can also flip back and out of the way exactly like a magazine page if you prefer to hold your gadget. While the iPad is available in two color options (black and white), the Smart Cover is available in two different material options and several color options. Polyurethane covers are available in five colors (blue, orange, pink, green, and gray), while leather covers are available in five colors as well (cream, tan black, dark blue, and red).

2. Apple Digital AV Adapter

The Digital AV Adapter makes video mirroring possible. Video mirroring allows you to view the content of your iPad on a bigger screen and share it with a bigger audience. You can connect the gadget to your HDTV for a better viewing experience. Alternatively, you can connect your iPad to an HD projection screen and you can share educational apps as well as your presentations with your students, friends, colleagues, and so forth. The best thing about the AV adapter is that it can connect to a second 30-pin USB cable so you can charge your gadget and give a presentation or watch a movie at the same time.

3. iPad Camera Connection Kit

The iPad Camera Connection Kit consists of two components - a camera connector and an SD Card Reader. This kit helps you import photos and videos from your favorite digital camera in two ways: you can use the camera connector to connect your camera to your iPad via your camera's USB cable, or use the card reader to import the content directly from your camera's SD card. Since the iPad supports standard image (JPEG, RAW) and video (MPEG-4, H.264) formats, you can view them right after you import them without having to convert them first.

Best iPad accessories are available at many online and offline shops. Get more iPad accessories review by browsing through our gallery.

Apple iPad 3 to Get Retina Display Says LG Electronics CEO

08/23/2011

The latest Apple tablet on the market, the iPad 2, came with many surprises as well as disappointments. One of the features fans were hoping for was the retina display that is currently on the Apple iPhone 4. If you bought the iPad 2 you may be regretting the purchase, especially if you had already owned the original iPad released because it was more of an evolution than a revolution.

Rumors have been swirling across the web and kept fans buzzing about a probable release date and the upcoming specs of the iPad 3 which is supposed to really be substantially upgraded from both the iPad and iPad 2. One of the most prominent features that fans are hoping for is indeed the retina display because that beautiful rich screen of the iPhone 4 would look even more amazing on the larger iPad 3 display.

Apple follower and blogger John Gruber was largely responsible for the rumors that kicked off about the iPad 3 even before the iPad 2 had hit store shelves back in March. Recently LG and Gruber have offered up some hints towards the iPad 3 including the coveted retina display. It's your choice who to believe but since LG currently manufactures for Apple, you may want to give them more weight for their insight.

LG CEO Young Soo Kwon hinted towards the inclusion of the retina display when he stated: "more smartphone manufacturers will release new models employing LG's Retina Display that has been used in iPhones and iPads." It looks like Mr. Kwon may have slipped here because there is currently no retina display in an iPad, however the iPad 3 is likely in the pipeline for research and development. It's a safe bet to say that it is probably more towards the development phase however.

Kwon's statement was heard during an interview with Korean Times. If you've been waiting for retina display on the large iPad 3 screen that should come with a plethora of other sought after features then you may be in luck. It looks like this screen will be making its way into the bezel of the latest Apple tablet, whose release date is still unknown at this time.

Further strengthening this rumor is the fact that Samsung and Apple are currently still embroiled in a legal battle that just won't reach a final deal or agreement. Apple called foul once long time partner Samsung released the Galaxy line of smartphones and tablets, claiming that they were way too similar to Apple devices. LG would be the perfect manufacturer to step up and engineer a higher resolution capability retina display for the iPad 3. The current rumored display is topping 2048 x 1536 pixels! If some of the other rumors setting the web abuzz come true; then the iPad 3 is certainly going to be worth every cent.

Recent prototypes show an iPad 3 with a curved back and somewhat of an evolution from the look of the iPhone 4. It is depicted to be slimmer and gives it that pro-effect that we were all hoping for with the iPad 2. Delays and other insider problems were blamed for a lot of features not making it into the iPad 2, leaving them to be held off on and further developed into the Apple iPad 3.

Review of the Apple MacBook Pro 13.3-Inch Laptop (2011)

08/09/2011

Despite the hefty price tag, the Apple MacBook Pro remains one of the best selling laptops on the market, and as of Summer 2011, is the second best-selling laptop on Amazon.com. There is quite a large fan base of Apple MacBook users who return again and again, not just out of brand loyalty, but because they know Apple produces a well-built computer than is often worth the extra cost. Today we take a look at the 13.3-inch Apple MacBook Air (MC700LL/A), released earlier this year, and the latest incarnation of a well-praised notebook dynasty.

Look & Feel

As with most Apple products, the aesthetics of the MacBook Pro has always been one of its primary selling-points. The computer is produced from a single block of aluminum, giving it a very solid and durable feel. In this respect it is very similar to the previous generation of MacBooks. Due to the device's slim design, the solid construction doesn't make the laptop any heftier than average. While some may call the overall design somewhat "plain," with the standard white Apple logo on the top, we contend that it has a professional and clean look most users will appreciate for its simplicity.

The trackpad is arguably one of the best you will find on any laptop. Made of glass, and featuring Apple's Multi-Touch technology, the trackpad is durable, responsive, and just feels "right" under our fingers. There are no buttons - all motions are captured by Multi-Touch, which translates swiping, pinching, rotating and scrolling motions fluently onto the screen. The MacBook Pro also has a back-lit keyboard, great for typing in darker environments.

The MacBook Pro's display measures 13.3 inches diagonally. The LED-backlit glossy display has a 1280×800 pixel resolution, which is fairly standard. The size of the display is a bit on the "petite" side as laptops go, but it offers better portability than large notebooks. The 15.4 MacBook Pro adds a bit of weight and costs roughly $300-$500 more.

Performance

MacBooks have generally offered very strong performance, and the latest MacBook Pro is no exception. The notebook is powered by Intel's latest generation of "Sandy Bridge" processors, the Core I line. The processor is a dual-core Core i5, which runs at 2.4 GHz and has a shared L3 cache for better multi-tasking performance. The performance of the i5 is somewhere between the cheaper Core i3 and the more expensive i7. For most applications, the Core i5 processor, combined with 4 GB of installed RAM, has more than enough processing power to get the job done.

The MacBook Pro is not a "gaming" computer, but still offers modest graphics performance. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 is an integrated, rather than a stand-alone, graphics chip. While not as powerful as a separate graphics processor, the 3000 can handle many of the latest games, albeit on low graphics settings and with occasional glitches. For games and other graphic-intensive software like Photoshop or AutoCAD, you might want to consider a laptop with a discrete graphics card.

The latest Apple MacBook Pro, currently retailing for about $1,150, is a serious investment. For anyone looking in this price range, however, the MacBook delivers great performance and a pleasant, portable, and durable design. Although there are cheaper alternatives out there, the MacBook Pro is certainly a shoe-in for long-time fans.

In-Ear Headphones for Your iPod - Affordable Quality

07/31/2011

If you are looking to upgrade your headphones from those that were included with your iPod to something of better quality or just more your style, it can be very overwhelming once you hop on-line to do the research. There are so many options, choices, sizes, colors and specifications that it can be difficult to narrow it down to even one or two good choices. If you are leaning toward in-ear headphones, you can find some helpful tips here in order for you to make a good purchasing decision.

Headphones are a great accessory when you want to listen to your favorite music but are not able to play your iPod out loud. It is nice to kick back and relax while enjoying music, even if it's in the tub at the end of a crazy day! To be able to enjoy clarity and high quality sound, it is important to choose a good set of headphones.

In-ear headphones are a great choice because they are small yet pack a high level sound quality. They are portable which is key because you will want to take them with you everywhere. They should be discreet and feel comfortable in your ears.

You know that in-ear headphones are portable and look and sound good, but there are so many more reasons to go with these headphones.

If you go with the Apple in-ear headphones, you will find that they have an unbeatable sound quality and an extreme level of clarity. In fact, you will be amazed to hear things that you may have missed before with a lesser quality headphone set. The tone and balance is good and deliver a high quality sound at a reasonable price.

With this brand of headphones, each ear piece is individually mastered and offers two separate drivers for excellent quality out of each ear piece. Each ear piece features a bass woofer, in addition to a tweeter for higher frequency sounds.

Part of the high quality sound experience also comes from the reduction of noise, so you can more fully enjoy your music and not encounter outside distractions.

These headphones offer comfort with soft ear tips that fit snugly - but not too tightly - into your ear, which creates a perfect seal to block out additional outside noise. With your purchase, you will receive three sizes of ear tips (small, medium and large) so you can customize the fit.

Each ear piece has a protective cap to keep the components from getting dirty, plus it is a breeze to keep the ear pieces clean.

The end result is an incredibly enjoyable sound experience with an attractive and comfortable pair of in-ear headphones.

Some models of the Apple in-ear headphones include a microphone and remote which are compatible with only certain models of iPod, iPhone 4 and iPad, however, the audio itself works with all iPod models.

You cannot beat the quality for the price with the Apple in-ear headphones. They are durable, look good, and most importantly, sound good. A great upgrade choice for anyone.

iPad and iPad 2 - Best Cases With Bluetooth Keyboards

07/19/2011

Let's face it- the iPad and iPad 2 devices and pretty much do anything you can think of. Both devices seem to be replacing the traditional laptop. This is great that technology is downsizing and becoming more convenient, but does it really make everything more convenient?

One of the things that most iPad and iPad 2 users complain about in regard to their device is the fact that they can't type emails and documents as fast as they can on the traditional computer. This is true because the iPad devices have a "touch-screen keyboard", as opposed to having a physical keyboard. Fingers just weren't made to tap a screen at rapid rates, all while having the screen recognize and record every tap with accuracy.

While this seems like a huge problem to have, especially for those who are constantly emailing and creating documents, it is one that can be easily solved. Now don't go thinking you have to buy an external keyboard, with wires and the whole bit, just to type effectively on your iPad. You can actually buy specially designed iPad cases that come with Bluetooth keyboards, which wirelessly connect to your iPad as soon as you open the case!

There are two different iPad 2 cases with Bluetooth keyboards that have been overwhelming popular among iPad 2 users:

Kensington KeyFolio Bluetooth Keyboard Case for iPad 1 & 2

Online retailers are having a hard time keeping this iPad 2 case on the shelves. Kensington has designed this leather folio case with an integrated Bluetooth keyboard. You will be amazed at your typing speed when using this keyboard and case. The battery life for the Bluetooth keyboard in this case last for what seems like forever. You don't have to worry about charging it very often. Users also like to use this case to connect their iPhone 4 to the keyboard via Bluetooth - just another added bonus!

ZAGG Zaggmate Case and Keyboard for iPad 2

ZAGG has made their brand a leader in the Apple accessory market with this case and this same case for the original iPad. The slim design and the fact that it houses a Bluetooth keyboard is unreal. This iPad 2 case is different from the Kensington case because it isn't a folio. It is an extremely hard-shell case that protects the screen and sides of the iPad 2. The back is exposed, but when it's in use the shell turns into a stand with a Bluetooth keyboard!

You can find the Kensington KeyFolio Case for iPad 2 in stock and on sale at GleeMobile.com- the largest online retailer for the best iPad 2 cases.

Mobee Magic Charger for the Apple Magic Mouse Review

07/13/2011

This is one of those products that comes along and changes the way you have done something for say the last ten years. The Mobee Magic Charger proposes to 1. give your Magic Mouse a battery pack and 2. make it easy to charge. Does it deliver?

The exterior design of the Mobee Magic Charger is very Magic Mouse like. The Magic Charger is made out of plastic with an aluminium like look surrounding the bottom and on top it's covered in a white glossy plastic, again very similar to the Magic Mouse. The front sits LED indicators (red for standby, blinking green for charging and constant green for fully charged). Around the back you can plug in a USB cable to power the Magic Charger. The cables other end which plugs into your Mac has an identical USB male end as the iPod and iPhone charging cables did a few years ago?

The second part of all this is the battery pack that sits inside your Magic Mouse where the traditional AA's go. This fits and lines up perfectly but your Apple plate which covers the AA's is now no longer needed due to the battery pack having it's own attached. This is a slight negative I have about this not because the Apple logo has now disappeared but because the aluminium is a different shade of color to the rest of the Magic Mouse.

So how does all this work? Similar to the Powermat technology this uses wireless charging. Wireless charging isn't just pleasant on the eye because it reduces clutter in most cases but it's fast at charging too. The Magic Charger sits on my desk in front of my iMac. When my iMacs asleep I place my Magic Mouse onto the Magic Charger and walk away. To receive a full charge from a drained mouse, it will take roughly three to four hours. But when i'm not using my Magic Mouse I just put it onto the Magic Charger.

I did go cold turkey with my Magic Mouse, so I fully charged the battery pack and didn't recharge it until it was completely drained and I was going to state how many weeks it lasted me. But my usage was so varied it just wasn't fair. But because some of you might also be like this I got three weeks out of it. But this definitely isn't  accurate for most.

Using the Magic Mouse with the Mobee battery pack inside felt no different to using AA's in terms of performance that is. But in terms of weight it feels as if there is no batteries inserted which is very difficult to get used to. Also worth noting if you'd like to have a couple more battery packs you can purchase them on Mobee's website for $29.90.

Overall I found the Mobee Magic Chargers technology to work really well. It's very very convenient and it looks good on my desk too. But it also saves a huge amount of money on buying and throwing away batteries and I think this is going to be one of the biggest reasons for owning the Magic Charger. So in short if you own a Magic Mouse this is a must have!

A Look at the MacBook Pro and Apple Magic Mouse

07/13/2011

Today I wanted to go away from my own personal preference and take a look at a laptop computer for the MAC fans out there. I took a look at the Apple MacBook Pro MC724LL/A. This MacBook features an Intel Core i7 processor with 8 way processing. The i7 processor gives the computer a regular processing speed of 2.7 GHz and uses Turbo Boost Technology to provide increased processing speed at times. It comes with a 4 GB DDR3 RAM. This is pretty much standard now a days and provides a good amount of multitasking power, and for those who will need more you can expand the memory to 8 GB. The laptop comes with a 500 GB hard drive which provides plenty of storage space, and if you need more you can always purchase a relatively cheap external hard drive to give you a boost. The laptop has a 13.3 inch screen which is a plenty big for any laptop. The Intel HD Graphics 300 provides great images. This MacBook Pro comes with two USB 2.0 ports and a super fast "Thunderbolt" port which has a transfer rate of almost double the transfer rate of the new USB 3.0 ports.

I did like that this laptop computer has a backlit key board and Bluetooth capabilities. These two features have become fairly rare, and are not necessary, but are features I personally like to have. The battery life of this laptop is an impressive seven hours. It is also Energy Star Qualified according to Best Buy. This will help save you some money after you spend $1499.99 to buy it. This does seem more on the expensive side, but Macs are known for great performance.

After a look at Mac computers and continually seeing mention of the new Apple Magic Mouse accessory I decided to take a look at it for myself. After looking at it I did think it was a neat idea. As for people liking it, I suspect it is pretty much "hit or miss." Some people will love it and others will think it is just a waste of money and a pain. Basically the Magic Mouse combines the use of a laptop touch pad with the comfort of a normal mouse. This mouse provides several touch features. The features this mouse offers are a full 360 degree scroll, single click, two-button click, screen zoom, and a two-finger swipe.
