Apple iPad 3 to Get Retina Display Says LG Electronics CEO

08/23/2011

The latest Apple tablet on the market, the iPad 2, came with many surprises as well as disappointments. One of the features fans were hoping for was the retina display that is currently on the Apple iPhone 4. If you bought the iPad 2 you may be regretting the purchase, especially if you had already owned the original iPad released because it was more of an evolution than a revolution.

Rumors have been swirling across the web and kept fans buzzing about a probable release date and the upcoming specs of the iPad 3 which is supposed to really be substantially upgraded from both the iPad and iPad 2. One of the most prominent features that fans are hoping for is indeed the retina display because that beautiful rich screen of the iPhone 4 would look even more amazing on the larger iPad 3 display.

Apple follower and blogger John Gruber was largely responsible for the rumors that kicked off about the iPad 3 even before the iPad 2 had hit store shelves back in March. Recently LG and Gruber have offered up some hints towards the iPad 3 including the coveted retina display. It's your choice who to believe but since LG currently manufactures for Apple, you may want to give them more weight for their insight.

LG CEO Young Soo Kwon hinted towards the inclusion of the retina display when he stated: "more smartphone manufacturers will release new models employing LG's Retina Display that has been used in iPhones and iPads." It looks like Mr. Kwon may have slipped here because there is currently no retina display in an iPad, however the iPad 3 is likely in the pipeline for research and development. It's a safe bet to say that it is probably more towards the development phase however.

Kwon's statement was heard during an interview with Korean Times. If you've been waiting for retina display on the large iPad 3 screen that should come with a plethora of other sought after features then you may be in luck. It looks like this screen will be making its way into the bezel of the latest Apple tablet, whose release date is still unknown at this time.

Further strengthening this rumor is the fact that Samsung and Apple are currently still embroiled in a legal battle that just won't reach a final deal or agreement. Apple called foul once long time partner Samsung released the Galaxy line of smartphones and tablets, claiming that they were way too similar to Apple devices. LG would be the perfect manufacturer to step up and engineer a higher resolution capability retina display for the iPad 3. The current rumored display is topping 2048 x 1536 pixels! If some of the other rumors setting the web abuzz come true; then the iPad 3 is certainly going to be worth every cent.

Recent prototypes show an iPad 3 with a curved back and somewhat of an evolution from the look of the iPhone 4. It is depicted to be slimmer and gives it that pro-effect that we were all hoping for with the iPad 2. Delays and other insider problems were blamed for a lot of features not making it into the iPad 2, leaving them to be held off on and further developed into the Apple iPad 3.

The Ideal Webcam For The iPad

07/19/2011

With the sheer popularity of the Apple iPad, the days of the chunky desktops are almost over. In the initial days of video chats, the users would complain of bad sound quality, grainy picture resolution and poor connectivity. However, the numerous applications in the iPad, such as PhotoBooth and iChat have solved such problems and shortcomings. Still, one cannot deny that video chats on the iPad require to be geared up with an external Webcam. So, choosing a good Webcam, that is both efficient and compatible, is essential.

One of the good brands of webcams, which I would recommend to you, is UVC. They have an impressive line up of external webcams, which are classified as driver-less external webcams. These can be easily connected to the iPad. Moreover, there are no driver installations involved. So, you can disconnect the webcams and re-connect them, without any hassles.

With their large and crystal clear image quality and sound clarity, the USB 2.O Webcams, from UVC, will be good for both formal video conferences, as well as for your casual conversations. However, your iPad needs to be armed with high-speed USB ports, so that the webcams can function efficiently. Also, choose only those webcams, which bear the Video Class conformity. These are to be trusted.

For some, the models from UVC can be pricey. So, there is also a varied range of cheaper options of external webcams. If your requirements and needs are simple and basic, then you can do with cheaper webcams. These have a resolution of mere 1.3 mega pixels. For more demanding occasions and formal events, you can choose the expensive webcams, which have higher standards of sound and picture quality. These are also enabled to capture images and record videos.

While webcams can be chosen with some basic considerations, it is equally important to select suitable video chat applications. Look for some really inexpensive and durable video chat programs on the Internet. These can be uploaded and used along with your ideal webcams. Some of the good applications are Logitech VID, SightSpeed, CamFrog and so on. These can be uploaded and used with any external Webcam device. Also, these programs offer a varied compatibility with other Internet networks. This means that you can interact with friends, even if they are using operating systems, which are different than Apple. You can also update your video chat settings, to enhance the experience.

iPad and iPad 2 - Best Cases With Bluetooth Keyboards

07/19/2011

Let's face it- the iPad and iPad 2 devices and pretty much do anything you can think of. Both devices seem to be replacing the traditional laptop. This is great that technology is downsizing and becoming more convenient, but does it really make everything more convenient?

One of the things that most iPad and iPad 2 users complain about in regard to their device is the fact that they can't type emails and documents as fast as they can on the traditional computer. This is true because the iPad devices have a "touch-screen keyboard", as opposed to having a physical keyboard. Fingers just weren't made to tap a screen at rapid rates, all while having the screen recognize and record every tap with accuracy.

While this seems like a huge problem to have, especially for those who are constantly emailing and creating documents, it is one that can be easily solved. Now don't go thinking you have to buy an external keyboard, with wires and the whole bit, just to type effectively on your iPad. You can actually buy specially designed iPad cases that come with Bluetooth keyboards, which wirelessly connect to your iPad as soon as you open the case!

There are two different iPad 2 cases with Bluetooth keyboards that have been overwhelming popular among iPad 2 users:

Kensington KeyFolio Bluetooth Keyboard Case for iPad 1 & 2

Online retailers are having a hard time keeping this iPad 2 case on the shelves. Kensington has designed this leather folio case with an integrated Bluetooth keyboard. You will be amazed at your typing speed when using this keyboard and case. The battery life for the Bluetooth keyboard in this case last for what seems like forever. You don't have to worry about charging it very often. Users also like to use this case to connect their iPhone 4 to the keyboard via Bluetooth - just another added bonus!

ZAGG Zaggmate Case and Keyboard for iPad 2

ZAGG has made their brand a leader in the Apple accessory market with this case and this same case for the original iPad. The slim design and the fact that it houses a Bluetooth keyboard is unreal. This iPad 2 case is different from the Kensington case because it isn't a folio. It is an extremely hard-shell case that protects the screen and sides of the iPad 2. The back is exposed, but when it's in use the shell turns into a stand with a Bluetooth keyboard!

You can find the Kensington KeyFolio Case for iPad 2 in stock and on sale at GleeMobile.com- the largest online retailer for the best iPad 2 cases.
